I'd like to base my idea around fairy tale and cautionary folk tales. Though my animation will be primarily in Cave-Painting style, I want there to be a moral at the end of the story and this also makes the work load easier because of the short length of the fable.

In my idea, I imagine there to be a man and a wolf, both, for some reason banished from their clan and pack meet together and decide to use their individual skills to help each other hunt and survive. The man's weapons slow the prey, giving the wolf time to catch up and deal the final blow and bring the creature down. As the man approaches, the wolf is already taken by his animal instincts and starts devouring the carcass. When theman suggests slitting the beast in equal halves, the wolf growls and defends its kill selfishly.

The man is enraged after helping the wolf, and declares that the wolf could not have brought the mighty deer down without his help. The man attempts to cut the deer and the wolf tries to bite him. The man, grabs his spear and stabs the wolf in anger. The man then ats his fill and the day ends.

After many failed attempts the man realises that without the wolf or his own clan to help him, he will starve and fail to sustain himself. The moral is to share, but also the old phrase "Don't bite the hand that feeds you". Both the wolf and the man were wrong, but it will be up to the audience to decid whether it is both, or only one who is in the wrong.
