This week we started to develop our storyboards for the re-imagined version of the Kiss of Death audio clip. My final idea changes the original male and female charactr into Foxes. I am keeping the film noir style with variations in light and dark tones which will be added to my storyboard later on. For now I am getting a rough outline of the main key poses my two characters will have and the timing of the dialogue.

I have chosen to go with Foxes, though my original idea was going to be cats, because foxes are known to have some cunning and sly connotations, which I think fits well within the crime-like genre of film noir. It would make sense in my opinion, for a fox to have maybe crossed over onto another fox's territory and now, he is out to get him. Because the original audio also has the sound of a car pulling up close by, I have chosen to put a house in the distance of my first scene. When the foxes go inside of the den, they will hear the car and also see the lights. Showing the lights and not the car itself allows me to work on other areas of higher priority and cutting out on searching for extra rigs means a lot less time consumption.

All in all Im happy with my story idea and will continue to get the rough outlines of the character's poses correct. I have played around with the rig I have found a little more and have decided that by making the female fox slightly smaller than the male, it will be easier to differentiate between the two when the camera angle changes. I may decide to change the final product to black and white, so colour change may be a waste of time.
